Let’s face it, every business has run into an objection or two from a customer when it comes to a product or service it is selling.

Whether these objections have been made face to face, come in the form of a letter, e-mail, or comment left on the web, they can be used to your advantage.

Make a list of objections, beginning with the most popular and turn them into great content. You may be wondering how you can use this content to your advantage.

Chances are if a handful of customers are feeling this way, others may feel the same way and be wary about buying the product. Your content can be used to counteract this wariness and lead a customer to see the other side of things.

For example, if you sell electronics and many customers have raised an objection about a certain product because they feel it is too difficult to hook up, use this opportunity to list the pros of the product and devise an easy to use set of instructions to hook up the product.

Many corporations have Q & A sections on their web pages. Go a step beyond the Q & A section and add a twist.

Post various objections, you can turn objections into questions, then post positive content following the objection.

Example:

Q: Is it worth spending half an hour hooking up this gaming system?

A: This gaming system will bring your family hours of enjoyment together. Print these easy to follow setup instructions to get started on quality family time.

Insert a little humor and speak to your audience as if you were talking to a friend. You may realize the gaming system isn’t easy to set up but hey you did it and here’s how.

Turn your content into blog posts or topics to be posted on your social media pages as well.

Take things even further and create a forum where people can post questions and objections and ask for advice. Become a part of your own forum by answering posts.

Not only will you be turning an objection into something positive, your customers will thank you for the support.
